Ben Meyerson

Founder, Lumetra

Ben is one of two founders of Lumetra, makers of Engram. He works primarily on the production side of the memory layer: the ingest pipeline, dedup, the pgvector layout, BYOK plumbing, and the auth / API edges that the MCP clients talk to.

Before Lumetra, Ben built infrastructure for high-throughput data systems. He writes on the Lumetra blog about the gritty parts of running a memory product at scale — the things that don't show up in a benchmark table.

What he writes about

  • pgvector scaling, bucket count, and HNSW index behavior
  • Write-time dedup: text-hash vs. embedding-similarity
  • BYOK and per-component model routing
  • Zero-downtime schema migrations and backfills
  • HMAC API keys, OAuth 2.1, and cookie scoping for SaaS auth
